Transneft: Forest fires limit oil pumping from Yarudeiskoye field

MOSCOW, Aug 1 (PRIME) -- Russian oil pipeline monopoly Transneft has limited the pumping from the Yarudeiskoye oil and gas condensate field into the mainline pipeline system due to forest fires on the Yamal Peninsula, Igor Dyomin, advisor to the president of Transneft, told reporters on Tuesday.

Yargeo, a joint venture of independent gas producer Novatek and Nefte Petroleum Limited, produces oil at the Yarudeiskoye field.

“The reception of oil from the crude oil delivery and acceptance point of Yargeo is restricted due to an emergency situation at the Yarudeiskoye oil and gas condensate field connected with forest fires that broke out near the field and with a serious smoke contamination,” Dyomin said.
